Wait, did I just hear Keith Ellison say it was the Germans that bombed Pearl Harbor in WWII? Can we retire Ellison and send him to remedial middle school history class?

The Axis military alliance was est 1939. Pearl Harbor was 1941.
We talk about Iran, Hezbollah and Hamas.
Instead of political gotcha, lets be consistent in our foreign policy frames.
Japan was doing the joint interests of Germany on Dec 7 1941.
Even my 12 year old immigrant daughter knows it was the Japanese, not the Germans, who attacked Pearl Harbor. When an elected member of Congress doesn’t know basic history, then that speaks volumes about his qualifications and credibility.
I see that you still haven’t learned to check your facts before embarrassing yourself publicly. The Axis was established in three agreements, starting with the Anti-Comintern Pact between Germany and Japan in 1936, and joined by Italy in 1937, and then the formal tripartite alliance in 1940. Germany and the Soviet Union signed a pact in 1939, but the Soviets were not part of the Tripartite. The Tripartite alliance did not obligate Germany to declare war on the U.S. as Japan was not attacked but rather was the attacker. Germany chose to declare war on the U.S., though not obligated to do so.
No, you didn’t hear that, but you win the moron award for contributing to false news.
